I’ve always loved Carrie Bradshaw’s outfit in the episode “An American girl in Paris” of Sex And The City : her long pale green tutu, her stilettos and her fur muff.

When I saw this burgundy tutu on ASOS,, I just couldn’t resist! After Montreal more than two years ago, and Rotterdam in last February, I visited the Jean-Paul Gaultier exhibition for the third time at the Brooklyn Museum last week.

You know I love this exhibit, and I almost know it by heart now : the Madonna corset, the Nana teddy bear on which Jean-Paul Gaultier created his first prototype of cone bra when he was a child, the models animated by a three-dimensional process on molded faces, and many other things. For today’s outfit, two new items that will take us back to our childhood : a “twirling skirt” and “fast running sneakers”! It’s so funny those expressions you probably also used when you were kids, as if we needed to give clothes magical powers!

Actually, I’m not sure I’ve changed on this point with my “perfect skinny jeans”, my “stilettos that don’t hurt my feet”, my “dress that goes with everything”, my “sweater that makes me glow”.

We went for an afternoon walk in Central Park, where gorgeous autumn shades begin to appear. I was wearing a very simple and classical outfit with a subtle mix of black and deep red marbled prints.
