Paris Fashion Week Diary : TSUMORI CHISATO

It’s been a week since I came back to New York, and I’m still sharing my pictures from Paris!

I think I’ll write one last article about the other shows, because I know you all want me to get back to New York’s routine. Meanwhile, here is an article dedicated to one single show… Indeed, on the podium of my favorite shows, next to Jean Paul Gaultier’s intergalactic trip and  Paul&Joe’s gorgeous collection, there would be Tsumori Chisato! I’ll tell you more about the collection a little further, but first let’s talk about make-up and backstage.

Make-up and hair were orchestrated by SHU UEMURA. I really liked the smoky cat’s eyes and the orange tone on the lips. Associated to a bobbed curly hairstyle, it gave the models the look of beautiful wild pin-ups.

As for the collection itself, I just loved it! The theme, “Winter Jungle”, was so refreshing! Seeing palm trees, bananas, gorillas and bright colors on wool, coats and furs was audacious and beautiful.

After the show, I wanted to eat a Ben&Jerry’s Chunky Monkey ice cream while watching King Kong and singing “Gare au gorille”[1]. The toucan prints reminded me of my honeymoon in Costa Rica (remember this look). I loved the shoes and sunglasses. More than a gorgeous collection, it actually felt like a colorful journey! HUGE CRUSH, as you might have understood.

Moreover, Lisa (Make my Lemonade) and I had given up our seats to stand on photographers’ podium, best spot to take great pictures. I hope you’ll like them!

Can’t wait to know what you think of this collection!

See you tomorrow for a spring outfit!

    Bises
