Last but one post dedicated to New York Fashion Week, then we’ll get back to our habits!

Let’s start with a confession : during this crazy week spent running all over the city, I realized I like being on the other side of the camera more and more.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to stop publishing outfits, but I have to say I really enjoy breaking the routine.

So today, here is a series of portraits of more or less famous people spotted at the end of Tommy Hilfiger show and before Michael Kors and Hugo Boss runways.

These are … READ MORE

The Fashion Week is now over, and I actually feel relieved because I’m such a wreck by now. I caught a cold. Despite my desperate attempt to pile up many layers at the risk of sacrificing elegance, I couldn’t cope with the thermal shock between the tropical heat of Costa Rica (100°F in Corcovado) and New York coldness (12°F this morning!). I have a terrible flu, the kind that takes your brain and prevent you from thinking and speaking clearly.

Actually, I don’t mind if this Fashion Week lead me to catching a cold because it was really worth … READ MORE

For this New York Fashion Week Day 2, no catwalks but only presentations.

I like presentations. Of course there isn’t the whole decorum of a runway, but you can take your time and you get to really see the collections, which is the actual purpose of all that, even though we tend to forget it…

Two presentations this Friday with two iconic New York brands and two completely different styles : KATE SPADE and COACH.

It’s in this kind of situation that I realize I have a stylistic schizophrenia. You won’t be surprised to know that I really loved … READ MORE

Back to Fashion marathon! The Fall Winter 2014 Fashion Week started two days ago at the Lincoln Center.

Let me put this straight : it took me a while to get in the mood. When I’m writing this, I’m keyed up again, so happy to share with you, day after day, my second Fashion Week in New York, NYFW for friends and family (and compulsive not anonymous “hashtaggers”).

Things started pretty well the night before with the event at Paule Ka, a brand I’m so fond of and that you heard about many times on this blog. The first Paule … READ MORE

The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier – From the sidewalk to the catwalk – BROOKLYN MUSEUM

1 November 2013

After Montreal more than two years ago, and Rotterdam in last February, I visited the Jean-Paul Gaultier exhibition for the third time at the Brooklyn Museum last week.

You know I love this exhibit, and I almost know it by heart now : the Madonna corset, the Nana teddy bear on which Jean-Paul Gaultier created his first prototype of cone bra when he was a child, the models animated by a three-dimensional process on molded faces, and many other things. What is really nice – especially when it’s your third visit – is that they add surprises and new stuff! … READ MORE

My New York Fashion Week Diary

18 September 2013

It took me a while to find enough time to do nothing for several hours in a row but write this article for you. It’s gonna be long and passionate – and I hope exicting, but let’s not be too sure about that…

(more than 15 hours to be totally honest, including the time I spent selecting my pictures and the responding delay of my exhausted Macbook).

Let’s get in the atmosphere…

DAY 1

I woke up early on Friday and jumped in a yellow cab to join the lovely Kenza and be introduced to Mathilde and Julie, to … READ MORE
